JAAGO focuses on various sectors, including education, youth development, women empowerment, climate change, and governance. JAAGO provides free, high-quality education to children through conventional and digital schooling programs, serving 4500 students currently. Our Youth Development Program empowers 50,000 young citizens with skills and resources for national development. JAAGO addresses challenges faced by women and girls, offering alternative learning opportunities in underrepresented communities. JAAGO actively collaborates with local communities, women, youth, and marginalized groups to develop climate resilience and sustainable livelihood options. JAAGO promotes civic education to enhance youth civic participation, collective action, and leadership for effective societal change.

Position Summary

The Center In-Charge will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the training center and ensuring smooth implementation of training activities. The position will support instructors, trainees, and project staff to maintain an effective, safe, and well-organized learning environment that ensures quality training delivery.

Job Responsibilities

A. Center Management and Operations:

  • Oversee the overall daily operations of the training center, ensuring smooth functioning of all activities.
  • Maintain discipline, safety, and a conducive learning environment for trainees and staff.
  • Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of training facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Coordinate scheduling and execution of training sessions as per the approved plan.

B. Training Support and Coordination:

  • Provide logistical and operational support to trainers and instructors for effective training delivery.
  • Assist in managing trainee attendance, participation, and training schedules.
  • Support trainees with administrative and logistical needs during training activities.
  • Facilitate smooth coordination between trainers, trainees, and project management.

C. Logistics and Resource Management:

  • Manage training materials, tools, equipment, and other required resources efficiently.
  • Ensure timely availability and proper distribution of training supplies.
  • Maintain inventory records and report any shortages or maintenance needs.

D. Record Keeping and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of center activities, attendance, training schedules, and related documentation.
  • Support preparation of regular operational and activity reports.
  • Ensure proper filing and documentation of all center-related information.

E. Coordination and Communication:

  • Arrange and coordinate meetings, training sessions, and center-based events.
  • Maintain regular communication with project staff and supervisors regarding center operations.
  • Support coordination with local stakeholders as required for smooth center functioning.

F. Safeguarding, Gender, and Inclusion

  • Ensure adherence to safeguarding and gender principles.
  • Promote safe participation of women and vulnerable groups.
  • Report safeguarding concerns as per policy.

Qualifications & Experience 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized institution.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in training center management, education programmes, or development projects.
  • Experience working in rural or sub-district level contexts will be preferred.
  • Experience in managing training logistics and operational coordination will be an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain operational discipline.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic reporting and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Candidates with proficiency in local dialects/languages of the respective working areas will be given preference.
