Position Summary

The Trainer- SEB & Enterprise Development will deliver training on socio-emotional skills, communication, life skills, and entrepreneurship development to project beneficiaries. The position will support participants in developing interpersonal, workplace, and enterprise management skills necessary for employment, self-employment, and personal development.

Job Responsibilities

A. Training Delivery:

  • Conduct training sessions on socio-emotional skills, communication, life skills, workplace readiness, and enterprise development.
  • Deliver participatory and learner-centered training using interactive methodologies, group activities, role plays, and practical exercises.
  • Support trainees in building confidence, leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and decisionmaking skills.
  • Facilitate entrepreneurship and self-employment learning sessions for youth participants.

B. Training Planning and Material Development:

  • Prepare lesson plans, session outlines, training schedules, and training materials in line with project curriculum and objectives.
  • Develop and adapt participatory training tools, exercises, and learning materials based on beneficiary needs.
  • Ensure proper use and management of training materials and resources during sessions.

C. Training Environment and Beneficiary Support:

  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, gender-sensitive, and effective learning environment for all trainees.
  • Provide mentoring, guidance, and follow-up support to trainees throughout the training process.
  • Promote positive behavior, participation, and engagement among beneficiaries.

D. Monitoring, Documentation, and Reporting:

  • Maintain attendance records, session reports, trainee assessments, and training documentation.
  • Monitor trainee participation, learning progress, and performance during training sessions.
  • Prepare regular updates and reports for supervisors and project management.
  • Support MIS entry and documentation related to training activities.

E. Coordination and Compliance:

  • Coordinate with project staff, trainers, and supervisors for smooth implementation of training activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, organizational policies, and donor requirements during all training activities.
  • Perform any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor related to project implementation and training support.

F. Safeguarding, Gender, and Inclusion

  • Ensure adherence to safeguarding and gender principles.
  • Promote safe participation of women and vulnerable groups.
  • Report safeguarding concerns as per policy.

Qualifications & Experience 

Education

  • Bachelor's/ BA/ Diploma degree in relevant discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum 2–3 years of relevant practical experience in life skills, socio-emotional learning, youth development, or enterprise development training.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of socio-emotional learning and life skills training methodologies.
  • Knowledge of enterprise development, entrepreneurship, and workplace readiness concepts.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate youth participants from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Ability to work in rural and culturally diverse settings.
  • Candidates with proficiency in local dialects/languages of the respective working areas will be given preference.
